kup-client software package provides kernel.org upload tool, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install kup-client
kup-client is installed in your system.
Make ensure the kup-client package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep kup-client *
You will get with kup-client package name, version, architecture and description in a table
